Today live streaming is one of the most prominent channels used in marketing but the Hotel Del Coronado took a leap of faith by installing a webcam in 2015. At the time, there were very few if any beach webcams in San Diego, the only known resort live cams available were installed in Hawaii. The marketing team at the Hotel Del Coronado was immediately surprised at the attention their beach cam received. Local news channels such as FOX 5 KSWB and KUSI picked up the live stream and broadcast for the morning news.
HDOnTap installed three high definition live streaming cameras at Hotel Del Coronado. They serve dual purpose: inspiring dream vacations and providing engaging content for The Hotel Del's marketing strategy.
